The Start-up Pitch competition provides a platform for aspiring student innovators to transform their entrepreneurial ideas into reality. It challenges participants to present a compelling business pitch that showcases creativity, innovation, feasibility, and market potential. Students will present their ideas in front of judges, simulating a real-world investor pitch, and receive valuable feedback on their concepts, business models, and financial strategies. The event not only encourages entrepreneurial thinking but also enhances communication, teamwork, and professional presentation skills.

Anatomy of a Winning Pitch

1. The Problem & Solution

Clearly define the problem your start-up is solving, mention existing solutions, and describe how your product or service uniquely solves the problem.

2. The Market

Detail your target customers and evaluate the market size and potential.

3. The Business Plan

Outline your estimated capital requirements, financial feasibility, and overall strategy for growth and sustainability.

Rules of Engagement

Team & Presentation

  • Teams must consist of 2-4 members currently enrolled in engineering or related programs. Individual participation is also permitted.
  • All participants must register prior to the event with their team and contact details.
  • Pitches may be presented via PowerPoint or a prototype/model .
  • Presentations are limited to a maximum of 12 slides .
  • Each pitch is strictly timed for 3–8 minutes , followed by a Q&A session with the judges.

Conduct & Originality

  • All submissions and ideas must be the original work of the participants. Plagiarism leads to immediate disqualification.
  • To ensure impartial judgment, do not disclose personal or college names within the presentation slides.
  • Participants must maintain professional conduct and attend all scheduled sessions.
  • No late entries will be accepted under any circumstances.
  • The decisions of the judges and organizers are final and binding .
